Our Vision
Telling Stories That Create Change
We envision a planet where half of lands and waters are protected within a vast network of wildlife corridors.
By combining science, storytelling, and strategic collaboration, Wildpath helps shape conservation policy and inspire the public will be required to protect these vital connections that link healthy landscapes, species, and communities and restore balance to our planet.

Wildpath tells the stories of wide-ranging wildlife, and the habitats they connect, to inspire the public policies and movements needed to restore balance to our planet.
Storytelling to Accelerate Conservation
Storytelling is often the missing link in conservation. Even when the science is clear and the land is protected, the impact of corridors depends on people understanding their value and acting to support them. Through photography, film, and media toolkits, Wildpath captures and shares these stories, inspiring communities, landowners, and decision-makers to participate in protecting and connecting wild places—from local landscapes to global initiatives.
The Florida Wildlife Corridor Act, passed unanimously by the Florida House and Senate in 2021, marked the first proof point for Wildpath’s conviction that powerful, place-based storytelling accelerates conservation. Storytelling campaigns spearheaded by Wildpath and its predecessor organizations created a shared identity — the Florida Wildlife Corridor — for 18 million acres of connected habitat crucial to wildlife and people, and rallied stakeholders around policy solutions to protect it. Since the act was passed in 2021, the State of Florida has committed nearly $3 billion in land conservation within the Corridor, a sum far exceeding what even the largest conservation organizations were able to mobilize in that time frame.
Wildpath raised the visibility of the Florida Wildlife Corridor by telling the story of the Florida panther, leveraging our innate fascination with these iconic animals to build enthusiasm and consensus for protection among partners and decision-makers. Wide-ranging animals, from Florida panthers to monarch butterflies to whale sharks, depend on connected lands and waters to sustain their health, populations, and genetic diversity. Stories focused on these animals, and the large landscapes they need to survive, show how to achieve a planet in balance — for them and for us.
Conservation needs more unifying stories. Wildlife corridors, informed by science, animated by the movements of wild animals and empowered by the stories of the people who live and work in those places, provide the framework and the catalyst needed to accelerate the pace of protection.
Gulf of Mexico Corridor
A Connected Marine Corridor
Wildpath is now extending the concept of connected habitats from Florida’s interior landscapes to its coastal and offshore waters in the Gulf of Mexico, a vast expanse of coastline spanning 3,700 miles and bordering five U.S. states. Our work aims to elevate the importance of marine migratory corridors, safeguard critical habitats, and inspire large-scale protection of the Gulf’s biodiversity and the communities sustained by it.
FLORIDA WILDLIFE CORRIDOR
Protect 100,000 Acres in the Florida Wildlife Corridor — Every Year
Wildpath is building on the momentum of the Florida Wildlife Corridor to protect an additional 100,000 acres annually, helping Florida reach 30% land protection by 2030. This effort is rooted in visual storytelling, public engagement, and strategic advocacy.
Sentinel Landscapes
Telling New Stories On a National Scale
Wildpath is working to tell powerful stories of how conservation efforts within sentinel landscapes aim to simultaneously address defense, agriculture, and conservation needs.
Connected Planet™
Building a global network of wildlife corridors to sustain life on Earth
To address the biodiversity and climate crises, scientists agree we must protect half of Earth’s lands and waters by 2050—yet only 15% is protected today. The path forward lies in creating connected wildlife corridors that enable wildlife to roam freely while allowing communities to thrive alongside nature. Connected Planet, a collaboration between Wildpath and National Geographic, brings this vision to life.
